Blockley is a village you visit at walking pace. Within a couple of miles of the centre you'll find five places to visit, five for eating and drinking, three to stay, plus a shop, an activities provider and local services — enough to fill a day without ever needing to plan much in advance. It suits people who like their sightseeing on a human scale: a garden, a pub lunch, a wander, and time left over to sit still. If you're staying longer, Snugborough Mill and the Lower Brook Hotel & Restaurant both put you within easy reach of everything.
A good few hours might begin at Mill Dene Garden, where the sloping site rewards taking your time rather than marching round. From there, head into the village for lunch or a drink at the Great Western Arms, or call in at Blockley Village Shop if you'd rather assemble a picnic and eat outdoors. Afterwards, Spring Hill Lodges Camp 185 gives you a second, quite different point of interest nearby, and the lanes between these places are worth walking rather than driving whenever the weather allows.
