Install The Cotswolds App
Add The Cotswolds App to your home screen or desktop for a standalone, app-like experience — no browser chrome, faster launch, works from your phone's app list like any other app.
iOS Safari (iPhone / iPad)
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari ().
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name and tap Add in the top-right.
- The icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to open The Cotswolds App in a standalone window.
Must be in Safari — iOS Chrome and Firefox do not support installing web apps. If you're reading this in another iOS browser, open the page in Safari first.
iOS Chrome / Firefox / Edge
- These browsers do not support installing web apps as standalone icons on iOS. Apple restricts PWA install to Safari.
- Open this page in Safari: tap Share → Open in Safari, or copy the URL and paste it into Safari.
- Follow the iOS Safari steps above.
Android Chrome
- Tap the three-dot menu () in the top-right of Chrome.
- Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen on older Chrome).
- Confirm the install.
- The app opens in its own window; the icon is on your home screen.
If you don't see Install app, close the menu, scroll the page, and reopen it — Chrome requires a little engagement before offering install.
Android Samsung Internet
- Tap the menu ( — three lines, bottom-right).
- Tap Add page to.
- Tap Home screen.
- Confirm the name and tap Add.
Android Firefox
- Tap the three-dot menu (top-right).
- Tap Install (Firefox 79+) — older versions show Add to Home screen.
- Confirm.
Desktop Chrome / Edge / Brave
- Look for the install icon ( or a small monitor-with-arrow) on the right side of the address bar.
- Click it, then click Install in the popup.
- Alternatively: three-dot menu → Install The Cotswolds App.
- The app opens in its own window and is listed in your OS's Start menu / Applications / Activities.
If the icon is missing and Install isn't in the menu, the browser has decided you haven't used the site enough yet. Click around for a minute and try again.
Desktop Safari (macOS Sonoma 14+)
- Open File → Add to Dock… in the menu bar.
- Confirm the name and click Add.
- The app opens in its own window and sits in your Dock.
Requires macOS Sonoma (14) or later. Earlier macOS versions don't support Safari PWA install.
Desktop Firefox
- Desktop Firefox does not natively support installing PWAs.
- Workaround: use the PWAsForFirefox extension (available on the Firefox add-ons site), or install via Chrome / Edge / Brave instead.
