Moreton-in-Marsh is the sort of place you can arrive in without a plan and still fill a day. Within a couple of miles of the centre you'll find around twenty places to eat and drink, fifteen for shopping, five to stay, four to visit and one for activities, which is a good deal of choice for a town you can walk across in a few minutes. It suits browsers and slow lunches rather than ticking off attractions, and it makes a practical base if you're heading out to the surrounding villages and want somewhere with shops, services and a bed at the end of the day.
A good few hours might start with a wander through the independents: Windsor House and Artysan for something to take home, Howards if you're after a browse with no particular purpose. Fosseway Garden Centre is worth the short trip out if you like plants, pots or a sit-down with a coffee. Round things off at the Black Bear Inn, and if you're travelling with a van, the Moreton-in-Marsh Caravan & Motorhome Club site puts you within easy reach of it all.
