Didbrook is a small village set among farmland and quiet lanes, the sort of place where the loudest sound is likely to be a tractor or a blackbird. There isn't much in the village itself, and that's rather the point: you come here for the walking, the long views and the sense of having the countryside to yourself. Within about two miles, though, you'll find plenty to fill a day, with five places to visit, five spots to eat and drink, two places to stay and a walking route on the doorstep. It suits anyone who likes their sightseeing unhurried and their lunch unfussy.

A good few hours might start with a stretch of the Winchcombe Way (East), which links the surrounding hamlets and hillsides and gives you a proper feel for the landscape. From there, head to Toddington Narrow Gauge Railway for a ride and a look at the engines, with The Coffee Pot or The Cotswold Halt nearby when you want a sit-down and something warm. Round things off with a meal at the Pheasant Inn, or stay over at Wood Stanway Farmhouse B&B and pick up the walking again in the morning.
