This small village sits in the heart of the Cotswolds, just a short walk from Winchcombe, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.

Greet offers a chance to experience everyday Cotswold life away from the crowds that gather at more famous spots in the region.

The village itself is modest but full of character, with traditional stone buildings and a genuine sense of community. You'll find local pubs and accommodation options suited to walkers and visitors keen to explore the surrounding countryside. The real draw is what's immediately around you. From Greet, you're well positioned to access excellent walking routes through rolling hills and farmland, with plenty of footpaths linking you to neighboring villages and the broader Cotswolds Way.

Winchcombe, barely a mile away, deserves a visit in its own right. It's a proper market town with medieval origins, boasting a strong high street lined with independent shops and restaurants, along with the impressive ruins of Winchcombe Abbey. The town briefly grabbed international attention in 2021 when a meteorite landed nearby, an unusual event that brought this quiet corner of Gloucestershire to the world's attention.

The location also works well for venturing further. Cheltenham lies about seven miles south, and numerous other Cotswold villages are easily reachable. It's the sort of place where you can genuinely settle in and absorb the character of the region without feeling rushed.
