You'll find this welcoming cafe in the village of Stanway, making it an excellent stop when you're exploring the North Cotswolds.

The menu keeps things honest and satisfying—good coffee, tea, homemade baked goods, and straightforward light meals that work well whether you're after breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon break. It functions just as well as a refuelling point during a walk or bike ride through the quiet local lanes as it does if you simply want to sit down with something warm.

Stanway itself rewards a longer visit. The village is organised around Stanway House, a striking Jacobean manor with an impressive gatehouse and fountain that really give you a sense of the area's history. The cafe sits conveniently nearby if you want to grab something before or after visiting the house, though plenty of people come just for the cafe and the calm, unhurried atmosphere that characterises this part of the Cotswolds. It's an easy addition to a scenic drive or circular walk.

When you're ready to venture further, Broadway is only a short drive away—a lively market town with plenty of character—and Winchcombe, another historic town worth exploring, is equally accessible. The whole area works well for spending an afternoon or a full day moving between villages and stopping whenever something catches your eye.
