Corsham is a Wiltshire market town on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, and it makes an easy base if you like your days unhurried. Within about two miles you'll find twenty places to eat and drink, three shops, two places to stay, a couple of useful services, one visitor attraction and one venue for events and culture — enough to fill a day without ever feeling rushed between one thing and the next. It's the sort of town where you can park once and do everything on foot, and where the pace suits a slow lunch as much as a proper look round.

A good few hours might start with coffee and something warm at Springfield Hub, then a browse through The Corsham Bookshop, where you'll almost certainly leave with more than you planned. If you want your bearings first, Corsham Tourist Information can point you towards what's on. Come lunchtime, the Flemish Weaver is a comfortable choice, or head to The Great Western if you're after something a little more relaxed. Round the day off with dinner at Imperial Garden before you drive home.
