Thyme & Lovage is a café in Warwick Hall on Church Lane, tucked away from Burford's High Street and describing itself as the town's only riverside café.

The café is run by chef Hubert Kosmala, who has cooked in restaurants across the UK and was previously head chef at the Burford Garden Company and The Swan at Swinbrook. The sweet things for afternoon tea come from the kitchen of Hugo Lovage Patisserie, run by his wife Cindy, a Michelin-trained pastry chef. Thyme & Lovage also hosts events, seasonal workshops and tastings, and caters for private celebrations.
It is about 290 metres from the Tolsey Museum. It opens Monday to Saturday, plus one Sunday afternoon a month; check its website for the date.
