Three French Hens

in Burford

Illustration — photo coming soon

This gift shop sits right on Burford's High Street, putting you in the thick of things when you're wandering through this historic market town.

High Street, OX18 4QA

Inside you'll find a carefully chosen range of homewares, decorative items, cards, and smaller gifts, most with a distinctly Cotswolds character. It's the sort of place where you can happily lose an hour or so, discovering unexpected things that work brilliantly as souvenirs, presents for others, or just something nice for yourself.

The location is genuinely excellent. You're surrounded by Burford's gently sloping High Street with its medieval buildings and old coaching inns, and there's real history here—the town grew wealthy on the wool trade centuries ago, and you can still feel that heritage in the architecture. St. John the Baptist Church is just a short walk away, and you'll find several cafes dotted about if you fancy stopping for a cream tea afterwards. Burford also makes a solid base if you want to explore further into the Cotswolds. Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are both easily reached by car and worth a visit in their own right.
