The Chip Shed is a fish and chip restaurant and takeaway at Hartley House on the High Street in Bourton-on-the-Water, overlooking the village green and the River Windrush.

It is one of a small group of Chip Sheds, with others in Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick.
The fish and chips are cooked fresh each day, and visitors' reviews also mention the scampi, fish cakes and the option of topping up your chips. You can eat in the restaurant or out on the terrace, or take your food away to eat by the river. The Bourton branch does not take table bookings, but it has plenty of seating and tables turn over quickly; to skip the queue, you can pre-order online and collect. There is no delivery. Larger group orders can be arranged with notice, and private hire is sometimes possible.
The nearest parking is in the village's main car parks, which the restaurant says are under five minutes' walk away. The Model Village is about 125 metres from the door, the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection about 180 metres and Birdland Park and Gardens roughly 480 metres.
