This small village sits in the rolling countryside between Chippenham and the wider Cotswolds, forming part of the larger Grittleton parish in Wiltshire.

You'll find genuine rural character here without the tourist crowds that gather in the bigger market towns nearby.

Littleton Drew itself is modest but rewarding, with traditional stone cottages and working farmland that show you how the Cotswolds function as living communities rather than heritage attractions frozen in time. The Gauze Brook runs through the area, creating gentle waterside walks that are perfect for an afternoon stroll. The landscape here is quieter and less manicured than you'll find just a few miles south, which really appeals to visitors who prefer exploring on foot without constant direction signs.

The village works well as a base for exploring the wider region. Chippenham is about six miles south and offers proper amenities, pubs, and restaurants when you need them. From here you can easily reach places like Corsham or Box, which have more substantial attractions if you want to venture further. The M4 motorway passes nearby, making it accessible from further afield, though you'll hardly notice it once you're settled in the village itself.

It's a place for wandering country lanes, popping into local pubs, and enjoying the unhurried pace of the Wiltshire countryside.
