Chester House Hotel is a family-owned hotel on Victoria Street in the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water.
The hotel describes its style as contemporary country, and it pairs its rooms with its own restaurant, L'Anatra, which is open to diners as well as guests and takes table bookings.
Rooms range from cosy twins to doubles, and some are set aside for guests travelling with a dog, which makes it one of the easier places in the village to stay with a pet. Breakfast is included with some room types; the hotel's own website has the current room list and offers.
Its central position means most of Bourton is within a short walk. The River Windrush and its low stone footbridges are close by, the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection is about 170 metres away, The Model Village about 210 metres, and Birdland Park and Gardens roughly 460 metres. That makes it a practical base for a stay spent mostly on foot, with the Slaughters and the wider north Cotswolds a short drive away.
