Bull is a hotel at 105 High Street in Burford, in a sixteenth-century coaching inn that the hotel dates to 1536, when it served travellers and their horses on the road through the town.
It now has eighteen bedrooms and suites, no two alike, and holds One MICHELIN Key in the MICHELIN Guide's hotel selection.
The rooms range from compact doubles to suites with their own lounges, and several have original beams, stone fireplaces or free-standing baths; some look down the High Street. Rules differ from room to room, and a few are not suitable for children or dogs, so check the details of a room before booking.
Bull also has three restaurants and bars that are open to non-residents, and it offers treatments, hosts weddings, private dining and private hire, and shows a collection of art around the building.
Its position halfway down the High Street makes it an easy base for exploring Burford on foot. The Tolsey Museum is about 50 metres away, the River Windrush is at the foot of the hill, and Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens is a short drive south of the town.
