Highway is an inn at 117 High Street in Burford with eleven bedrooms, a restaurant and a bar.
It is the sister hotel of Bull, which stands about 50 metres along the street, and it has been part of the town's High Street for many years.
The eleven rooms have been refurbished in soft, neutral tones for a calm feel. Downstairs, the restaurant, Toro, serves a Spanish-inspired tapas menu all day, every day; dishes it highlights include pork belly croquettes and grilled octopus. There is also a cosy bar, and a private dining room for up to ten people that can be booked for birthdays and other occasions.
Because of its High Street position, Highway has no parking of its own. Guests use the nearby street parking or the public car park further down the street, so allow a little time for that when you arrive.
The inn is about 50 metres from the Tolsey Museum, with the River Windrush at the foot of the hill, and Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens is a short drive south of the town.
