Bramble & Gooseberry is the shop of the Bramble & Gooseberry Candle Co, at 28 Lower High Street in Burford, just off the main sweep of the High Street.

The business hand-pours scented soy wax candles in its own Cotswolds studio, made without paraffin, parabens or phthalates, and blends reed diffusers by hand with vegan-friendly scents.
The shop is the place to try the scents before you buy; visitors' reviews mention favourites such as pear and bergamot, and black fig. Alongside the candles and diffusers it sells match pots, greetings cards and a small range of homewares, from coasters to enamel dishes, which makes it a good stop for a present. If you find a scent you like, the company also sells online, so you can reorder once you are home.
Note that the shop opens only at the end of the week, from Friday to Sunday. It is a short walk from the Tolsey Museum, about 230 metres up the High Street, and Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens is a short drive south of the town.
