This welcoming holiday cottage sits right beside the River Leach, a gentle tributary of the Thames, in the quiet village of Little Faringdon.

It's an excellent base if you want to slow down and really explore the Cotswold countryside around you. You can wander straight out your door for peaceful riverside walks, with the sound of flowing water and the kind of rural calm that makes this corner of the region so special.

Little Faringdon itself is small and tranquil, but you're only a short drive from much more. Lechlade-on-Thames is just a few miles away—a proper market town with independent shops, good pubs, and chances to get out on the river. Fairford is nearby too, famous for St Mary's Church with its remarkable stained glass windows. Push a bit further and you'll reach Burford, the historic wool town with its characterful high street and traditional stone buildings. The wider Cotswolds spread out in all directions with countless walking paths, cycling routes, and villages built from that distinctive honey-coloured stone, each with its own personality. This area is layered with centuries of history—Roman settlements, the old wool trade, all of it visible in the landscape and architecture around you. It's a genuine escape for anyone after nature, heritage, and real local experiences without the tourist crowds.
