You're just steps from the Thames Path, which makes it straightforward to take leisurely walks upstream or downstream and watch for waterfowl along the way. The riverbank is an excellent spot to simply sit and enjoy the water's gentle flow, and if you have the right permits, you can fish here or launch a canoe or paddleboard for a closer encounter with the river.
The wider Cotswolds are easily accessible from here. Little Faringdon itself is wonderfully quiet, but the market town of Faringdon is just a short drive away, with local shops, pubs, and the striking Faringdon Folly commanding impressive views across the landscape. Lechlade-on-Thames sits nearby as well, offering more water-based activities and pleasant cafes. For a day out, Burford is within reasonable reach and showcases the stone buildings and independent retailers that define this part of the Cotswolds. This stretch of the Thames has a modest history of navigation and rural living, and staying here lets you connect directly with that quieter character that still defines the area.
