Cotswold Carp Farm is a small, family-owned campsite on Rissington Road on the edge of Bourton-on-the-Water.
It is strictly adults only (18 and over). There are ten pitches, each with an electric hook-up, and a two-berth loft apartment called The Heron's Nest for those who would rather not camp.
The site is seasonal: in 2026 it was open from 30 April to 13 September, and the owners publish the dates for each year on their website. Bookings have a three-night minimum and need a non-refundable deposit. Facilities are simple but, by visitors' accounts, kept very clean: a small block with four toilets and one shower, plus grey water and Elsan points.
The grounds take in lakes, carp ponds, meadows and woodland that campers can walk around, and reviewers often mention the birds and other wildlife. Visitors also report that dogs are welcome. The village centre is about a seven-minute walk away; Birdland Park and Gardens is roughly 600 metres from the site and The Model Village about 700 metres, so you can leave the car parked for the whole stay.
