Honeystreet is a small place, and that's rather the point. Within about two miles of it you'll find seven places to visit, four spots to eat and drink, five places to stay and a couple of practical services — enough to fill a day, not so much that you need to plan it. It suits visitors who like their sightseeing unhurried: a walk, a look at a church, a long lunch, a chat with whoever is behind the bar. If you're staying longer, Owl Roost and Cocklebury Farm are both close by, which makes Honeystreet a sensible base for exploring the wider area on foot.

A good few hours here might start with coffee and something substantial at Honeystreet Mill Café, then a slow wander to St Stephen's Church, where the quiet is worth a few minutes of your time. From there, make your way to God's Waiting Room, one of the more curiously named things you'll come across in this part of the world. Round the afternoon off at The Barge Inn, which has long drawn a mixed and interesting crowd, and stay for a second drink.
