around Bredon

Bredon is the sort of village you come to when you want a day at a gentler pace. It's small, but the area around it is better supplied than you might expect: within a couple of miles you'll find a dozen places to eat and drink, three spots for activities, three places to stay, two to visit and one shop worth a detour. That mix makes it easy to build a half-day here without much planning, whether you're stopping on the way through or basing yourself nearby for a longer weekend.

A good few hours might start at Ridgeway Bank Farm Shop and Plant Centre, where you can pick up something for later and browse the plants while you're at it. From there, Bredon Marina gives you the water side of the village, with boats coming and going and plenty to watch from the bank. Joan's Field Conservation Area is the quieter counterpoint, a place to walk off lunch and take your time. If you're after something to bring home, Pam Frith Art is the local shopping stop, and The Northway or New Wok will see you right come the evening.
