Victoria House is a bed-and-breakfast in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, a major market town in the North Cotswolds that's worth visiting in its own right.
The rooms provide a comfortable and well-positioned base, and the breakfast sets you up properly for a day of exploring.
Stow sits at the top of a hill and has developed its distinctive character over centuries of wool trading. The large market square is still the focal point, these days lined with independent shops, antique dealers, art galleries, traditional pubs, and cafes where you could happily lose a few hours browsing or just watching the world go by.
Being perched at elevation makes Stow ideal for starting countryside walks, and town amenities are within easy reach on foot. You're also centrally positioned for venturing further afield. Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh, and Chipping Norton are all short drives away, so you can use Victoria House as your base and make day trips without the hassle of constantly moving accommodation.
After spending your day walking the surrounding hills or visiting other villages, you come back to a relaxed, well-situated spot to recover. The location works hard for you, keeping you connected to the best parts of what the area has to offer while still giving you access to the quieter countryside that defines the Cotswolds.
