This is a shop in Stow-on-the-Wold that refuses to compromise on what it stocks.
You won't find mass-produced goods here. Instead, the owner has thoughtfully curated a collection of homewares, decorative pieces, artisan crafts, and jewellery that celebrate natural materials and genuine character. Each item has been chosen for its handmade quality and individual appeal, which makes it the kind of place worth visiting if you're looking for a meaningful souvenir from the Cotswolds or a gift that actually means something.
Stow-on-the-Wold itself deserves more than a quick visit. The town sits at a good elevation and centres on a spacious market square that once hosted major sheep fairs. These days it's a genuinely lively place with plenty to explore: independent shops, traditional pubs serving proper food, and cafes perfect for a quiet cup of tea. Unpolished sits comfortably within this landscape of local character and genuine quality. While you're in town, take time to wander the surrounding streets and see St. Edward's Church, which is genuinely impressive. Stow's location also works well as a base for exploring further into the Cotswolds, with Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water both easily accessible from here.
