The Deli at Corsham

in Corsham

This farm shop and deli gives you a real sense of what the Cotswolds countryside produces.

High Street, SN13 0ES

The stock rotates with the seasons but you can reliably find local cheeses, artisan breads, savoury snacks, and baked goods that actually taste like they've been made by someone who cares. There are regional preserves and chutneys too, plus a proper coffee if you need one before heading out. It's the sort of place where you can pick up ingredients for dinner back at your accommodation or grab a sandwich for lunch, and you won't be disappointed by the quality.

Corsham itself deserves an hour of your time. The stone buildings have that warm honey colour that makes the town feel substantial and real, and there's something rather charming about the peacocks that wander the streets freely. Corsham Court, a significant country house with considerable history, sits just a short walk away and rewards a visit if your schedule allows.

For planning purposes, you're well positioned here. Bath makes for an easy day trip, as does Chippenham if you want a bigger market town with more facilities. Corsham has that useful quality of being somewhere you can spend just twenty minutes and feel like you've found something worth the journey, but there's easily enough to keep you occupied if you want to linger longer.
