The Clanfield Tavern is a traditional pub and restaurant that serves the village of Clanfield and the surrounding countryside.

It's the kind of place where locals settle in for an evening drink and visitors naturally gravitate to between walks across the hills. The kitchen turns out hearty British food made with ingredients sourced from the region, and you'll find a good selection of local ales and other drinks on offer.

Clanfield itself is one of the quieter villages in the Cotswolds, and the Tavern functions as the natural hub for the community. The building has been here for centuries, very much part of the village's established fabric. Practically speaking, it sits in a convenient spot between the larger towns of Burford and Lechlade, with Witney and Faringdon also within easy driving distance.

This is genuinely how village life works in the Cotswolds. There's no trying too hard or putting on airs—just a comfortable place to stop, have something decent to eat and drink, and get a proper feel for the area while you're exploring.
