This converted stable at Battens Farm gives you a comfortable place to stay right in the working countryside just outside Yatton Keynell.
The building served the farm for years before being sensitively adapted into a bed-and-breakfast that keeps plenty of its original character. Walking routes start from your doorstep, so you can head straight out into the fields, or you might prefer to simply sit with the peace and quiet of the rural setting around you.
Yatton Keynell village is an easy walk away and has a local pub if you want an evening out. Castle Combe, widely regarded as one of the finest villages in the Cotswolds, sits nearby for when you want to see the region's distinctive stone architecture and atmosphere. Chippenham is close enough for practical errands or catching a train onward, and Bath makes a proper day trip if Roman baths and Georgian streets appeal to you. Your hosts lay on a proper breakfast each morning to get you started.
This is genuinely rural accommodation that doesn't leave you isolated from the things that make the area worth visiting. It's a good base if you want to experience working English countryside while still being able to reach the notable attractions comfortably.
