North End

This tiny hamlet sits within the rolling Cotswolds landscape, where golden limestone hills define the horizon in every direction.

North End is essentially a cluster of traditional stone cottages and farmland, representing the quieter side of what makes this region special. You won't find shops or attractions here, and that's entirely by design. What you will find instead is genuine countryside, the kind where you can walk for hours along footpaths that connect to nearby villages without encountering much beyond sheep and hedgerows.

The hamlet itself works wonderfully as a base for exploring on foot. Stone walls frame the lanes, and the local architecture showcases that characteristic honey-colored Cotswold limestone that's been quarried here for centuries. The landscape is genuinely rural, with working farms and pasture defining the area rather than any tourist infrastructure.

Moreton-in-Marsh sits about five miles away and offers practical amenities including shops, cafes, and a train station if you need to venture out. Chipping Campden and Bourton-on-the-Water are both within easy driving distance should you want to explore larger villages with more going on. North End itself is really about experiencing the Cotswolds at its most understated—perfect if you're after peaceful walks, want to base yourself somewhere quiet, or simply prefer the company of the landscape over crowds.
