A tranquil spot in the northern part of the Cotswolds, this small hamlet offers a genuine taste of rural life.

You'll find a collection of traditional buildings—mostly farmhouses and cottages—built from that classic honey-coloured stone the region is known for. There's nothing commercial here, no shops or major attractions, which is precisely the point. Willicote is a place to slow down and take a quiet stroll through the countryside, admiring the timeless architecture that sits comfortably within the rolling hills. The surrounding lanes and footpaths are wonderful for gentle walks, offering good views and a real sense of calm away from larger crowds.

Like many hamlets in the area, Willicote's character is rooted in agriculture, shaped by centuries of farming the surrounding land. That quiet, rural existence is still very much what defines the place today.

The trade-off is that Willicote has no amenities of its own, so you'll want to plan ahead for food or supplies. Fortunately, you're conveniently positioned near several larger towns. Stratford-upon-Avon, famous for its Shakespeare connections, is a short drive north. To the south lies Chipping Campden, a proper market town with a historic high street, and Broadway, another village with shops and places to eat. Staying here gives you a genuine escape while keeping good options for exploration within easy reach.
