This high point on the road between Broadway and Chipping Campden offers some of the most rewarding views the Cotswolds has to offer.
On a clear day you can see for miles across the rolling landscape, and the vista becomes particularly striking at sunrise or sunset when light catches the stone villages scattered across the valleys below.
The viewpoint sits on the escarpment that forms the dramatic edge of the Cotswolds, so the land drops away quite steeply in places. It's an excellent spot if you want to understand the region's geography or capture photographs of the landscape you've been exploring. Many visitors stop here briefly while driving between the two towns rather than making it a dedicated destination, but twenty minutes spent taking in the perspective rewards the effort.
The location is straightforward to reach by car with parking available at the top, which makes it convenient if you're passing through. If you're staying in Broadway village itself, it's also manageable as a walk or cycle ride. Early morning visits tend to be more peaceful if you want to avoid crowds, as the car park can fill up on weekends. The surrounding roads reward exploration too, with several smaller villages and walking routes branching off into the valleys below if you want to venture further afield.
