Buckshead Farm is a working farm that offers straightforward camping and campervan pitches in genuine rural surroundings, without unnecessary frills.
It's a solid base for exploring the Cotswolds on foot, with walking trails starting right from the fields so you can head directly into the landscape. The open views and clear night skies make it a good spot for winding down after a day's walking, and the peaceful setting is genuinely restorative.
The farm sits in classic Cotswolds terrain, surrounded by gentle hills and stone villages worth visiting. Painswick is close by—the church there is worth seeing, and the Rococo Garden is lovely if you fancy stopping for a cream tea. Stroud, the busy market town, is also nearby and hosts a thriving Saturday market if you need supplies or want to browse what's on offer. For more substantial dining options or bigger-name shops, Cheltenham isn't far away, though it does require a short drive. The location balances peace and quiet with genuine access to the region's character, so you get a proper countryside retreat without feeling cut off from what makes the Cotswolds worth visiting.
