Alice Guesthouse sits right at the heart of Prestbury, a village that manages to feel both genuinely historic and very much alive, just a stone's throw from Cheltenham.
The older buildings and quiet lanes create a real sense of place, with St Mary's Church serving as the village's heart. The church itself contains Norman features and later additions, and Prestbury has long held a reputation as one of England's more atmospheric villages.
From the guesthouse, you can step straight out onto local footpaths, taking in views across the Cotswold escarpment or simply dropping into one of the village's welcoming pubs. If you're here during racing season, Cheltenham Racecourse at Prestbury Park is essentially on your doorstep. When you want something more, Cheltenham itself is just a short trip away, with a busy town centre featuring good shopping, restaurants, and a packed events calendar throughout the year. It's also an excellent base for exploring deeper into the Cotswolds, with Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Bourton-on-the-Water all easily accessible for day trips.
