A family-run tea room inside Parsons Gardens, a retirement village on the Leamington Road at the northern edge of Broadway, open to the public as well as residents.
It is themed around the Mad Hatter's tea party, with plenty of quirky decoration and a large number of tables, so it copes well with groups. The name matches the 10/6 price ticket tucked into the Hatter's hat in Tenniel's Alice illustrations.
It serves breakfasts, brunches and lunches — baps, paninis, baguettes and salads — alongside coffee, tea and homemade cakes, with vegetarian and gluten-free options. Friday is fish and chips day. Children and dogs are welcome, there is bike racking out front for cyclists, and parking at the front and rear.
It is open weekdays and closes mid-afternoon, with a later finish on Fridays; weekend opening is limited, so check before travelling.
