The fairways are well maintained, with trees positioned throughout to create a fair challenge for players of all abilities. You can play a serious round or simply enjoy a casual game in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
The clubhouse is worth spending time in beyond the round itself. It serves food and drinks with views sweeping across the course, giving you a different perspective on the landscape than you'd get from walking through local villages. The whole setting sits within an area deeply rooted in farming and agriculture, so there's genuine character in the surroundings.
Malmesbury lies just a short drive away—a historic market town that makes an excellent addition to your visit. The Abbey is genuinely worth your time, and the town's streets have real appeal if you take a proper wander through them. This means you can easily pair some outdoor activity with local history and heritage in one outing.
You're technically in Wiltshire rather than the Cotswolds proper, but the regional character comes through strongly in the landscape around you. It's a good spot to base yourself if you want to combine golf with exploring the wider area.
