in Chipping Campden

The Old Bakehouse is a self-catering holiday let in Broad Campden, converted from the village's original bakehouse where generations of locals bought their daily bread.

Lower High Street

That working history remains part of the building's fabric, giving it a real connection to the community that's sustained the village over time. It makes for a comfortable base if you're looking for a genuinely relaxed stay in one of the quieter parts of the Cotswolds.

Broad Campden itself is worth exploring at a leisurely pace. The village is properly peaceful, with traditional stone buildings scattered along the lanes, and there's not much beyond the unhurried rhythms of village life. It's an ideal starting point for walks out into the countryside around it, where you'll find good open views and quiet paths to wander without any pressure.

When you fancy something with more going on, Chipping Campden is just a short drive away – a real market town with independent shops, decent pubs for food, and a historic market hall that's worth a look. Other well-known places like Moreton-in-Marsh and Broadway are equally close and each has its own distinct character and things to see. So you get a nice balance: a genuinely quiet village where you can properly relax, but with interesting towns near enough that you're never far away if you want to get out and explore something different.
