The Inn at Fossebridge sits in Coln Rogers, positioned right in the heart of the Coln Valley.

It's a traditional country pub with rooms upstairs, making it work equally well whether you're passing through for lunch or staying a night or two. The kitchen turns out reliable pub food alongside dishes with a bit more ambition, and they've thoughtfully stocked local ales and wines that give you a real sense of what the region drinks. The grounds are genuinely generous, sloping down toward the River Coln—a pleasant stretch to walk around before heading in to eat. There's genuine history woven through the place. It sits on what was once the Roman Fosse Way, and has been welcoming travellers along this route for centuries, which gives it a real feeling of belonging to something larger. What works particularly well is that it sits just far enough from the main tourist flow to feel peaceful, yet it's positioned perfectly for exploring the area. Cirencester, Bibury, and Northleach are all a short drive away, so you can easily venture out to their shops and attractions during the day, then return to somewhere quiet and welcoming for dinner and the evening.
