This boutique in Berryfield grew out of a working shoemaker's shop, where craftspeople once sat repairing and making shoes for people in the community.

That heritage is genuinely woven through the space today—the building itself carries its history—but the shop itself is thoroughly modern and thoughtfully stocked, making it a place worth spending time in rather than just passing through.

It pairs well with Bradford-on-Avon, a short drive away, where you'll find a Saxon church, a medieval bridge crossing the River Avon, and plenty of independent shops and cafes. You can easily move between The Cobbler's Bench and Bradford-on-Avon's high street in a morning or afternoon, and doing so gives you a real sense of how this corner of the Cotswolds has held onto local trades and craftsmanship across the centuries. There's something genuinely satisfying about following that thread—seeing how commerce and making have evolved in these places without losing their connection to what came before. If you're already exploring the region, it's certainly worth the stop.
