This small village sits on the edge of the Cotswolds in north Oxfordshire, just across from the Warwickshire border, and is part of the larger Sibford settlement that also includes Sibford Gower and Burdrop.

The three villages spread across either side of the Sib Valley in a way that feels organic rather than formally planned, with the communities sharing facilities across the area.

Sibford Ferris itself has the village shop, a handy stop if you're heading out into the surrounding countryside, and Sibford School, which has been running here since the 19th century. The other villages are only a short walk away, so exploring the whole settlement is straightforward. You'll find the primary school and pub over in Sibford Gower, while Burdrop has the church.

It's a good spot to use as a base for walking, with easy access to the wider Cotswolds landscape and plenty of countryside paths. The Sib Valley naturally guides you when you're out on foot, and you're close enough to larger towns like Banbury and Chipping Norton if you need to pick up supplies or find somewhere more substantial to eat. The villages have kept their working character rather than transforming into full-on tourist destinations, which gives them a genuine feel. If you want peaceful surroundings and straightforward village life without the fuss, this is a solid choice for a quiet stay in the region.
