The walk takes you through the gentle rolling landscapes characteristic of south Warwickshire, right on the edge of the wider Cotswolds region. You'll amble through open fields, alongside hedgerows, and perhaps through small pockets of woodland, enjoying far-reaching views across agricultural land.

The route passes through or very close to Alderminster itself, a village with roots stretching back to the Domesday Book. It's worth pausing to appreciate the traditional stone and brick cottages and St Mary and Holy Cross church, which dates from Norman times. The Millennium Way was designed to mark the turn of the millennium, and it connects walkers to both natural beauty and local heritage in a way that lets you experience rural England at a genuinely leisurely pace. The historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon is a short drive north if you fancy further exploration or refreshments, and the market town of Shipston-on-Stour is equally convenient nearby.
