Little Horton is a small hamlet set among the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, and it's the kind of place where you come to experience the quieter side of the region.

The settlement consists of traditional honey-coloured stone cottages and agricultural buildings that have been here for centuries, their architecture blending naturally into the surrounding landscape.

There aren't conventional attractions to tick off, but that's rather the point. What draws people here is the chance to walk at a slower pace along the country lanes and public footpaths that connect the fields, where you'll see dry stone walls marking the boundaries and get a real sense of how the landscape has been managed over generations. The buildings themselves reward a closer look—they're fine examples of local craftsmanship that speak to centuries of rural life here. Little Horton has always been a working agricultural settlement, and that character still defines the place today. You get the feeling of stepping into a way of life that's largely disappeared from the rest of England.

If you need a cup of tea or a proper meal, you'll find shops, cafes, and pubs in the nearby towns of Malmesbury and Tetbury, both just a short drive away. They make good bases if you want to explore Little Horton as part of a wider visit to the area.
