Evesham Jewellers is a boutique in the working market town of Evesham, which sits along the River Avon and has a very different feel from the smaller villages scattered through the Cotswolds.
The town itself grew up around market gardening – the surrounding countryside is genuinely fertile and has supplied the region with fruit and vegetables for centuries. You can still sense that commercial pulse walking around the town centre today, with its independent shops and the atmospheric remains of the medieval abbey nearby.
The jeweller's is worth a visit if you're looking for something special, whether that's a gift, a piece for yourself, or repair work on an existing item. They carry a decent range of pieces, though it's worth ringing ahead if you need a particular service. It fits naturally into a morning spent browsing Evesham's independent retailers, and you can easily break things up with a walk along the river or exploring the impressive stonework of what's left of the abbey.
Evesham works well as a base if you're spending time in this part of the Cotswolds. Broadway and Chipping Campden are close by for day trips, so you could combine a visit here with exploring those villages, or use the town as your starting point for wider wandering through the region.
