Decades Tearooms occupies a quiet corner of Mickleton, a village sitting on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, and serves as an ideal place to rest between explorations.
The tearoom itself feels genuinely welcoming, with an unhurried atmosphere that invites you to settle in with a tea or coffee for as long as you'd like. The homemade cakes are excellent reasons to visit in their own right, whether you're after a mid-morning snack or something to accompany afternoon tea. They also serve light lunches, which makes sense given how many people spend their mornings walking through the village and the surrounding countryside.
Mickleton works well as a base for exploring the broader region. Chipping Campden lies just a short drive away, where the long high street and historic market hall are worth a wander. Broadway is similarly close and known for its tower and the range of independent shops running through the village. Stratford-upon-Avon is also within reasonable reach if you're planning a wider tour of the area. Decades functions as a proper stopping point for refreshment during your travels, the kind of place where you can genuinely take your time rather than rush through.
