Construction Corner is a manor house in Temple Guiting, built from the distinctive honey-coloured stone that characterises the Cotswolds.
It's a well-preserved example of local architecture, reflecting centuries of building tradition in the region and forming an important part of the village's heritage.
Temple Guiting itself is worth spending time in. The village has that calm quality that comes from wandering through traditional lanes where traffic is rare, and the buildings around you speak to generations of people living here. You can take in Construction Corner's exterior as you explore the village, getting a real sense of the history embedded in its walls even if you're viewing it from outside.
The village works well as a base for exploring further afield. Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are both a short drive away if you want busier market towns with proper shops and cafes. Winchcombe is equally accessible and worth visiting if you're interested in seeing Sudeley Castle. But if you're looking for somewhere genuinely quiet to spend an afternoon, Temple Guiting and Construction Corner offer that peaceful side of the Cotswolds that draws many visitors in the first place.
