In the heart of Evesham, you'll find a peaceful spot that was once central to a powerful Benedictine abbey.

The Cloister Gardens now occupy the footprint of what was one of England's largest monasteries before its dissolution in the 16th century. It's a wonderful place for a quiet stroll, offering beautifully maintained grounds where you can literally walk over the former cloister area, outlined by paths and planting. You can still see fragments of the original abbey walls and a bell tower that survived, standing as testament to its grand past.

This garden provides a tranquil escape from the bustling market town, making it ideal for reflecting on Evesham's rich history. You can wander through the different garden sections and sit for a while to soak in the calm atmosphere. The space is completely free and accessible, perfect for an hour or so of exploration. Once you've finished here, you're right in the centre of Evesham with its shops, restaurants and riverside walks along the Avon all within easy reach. Broadway and Pershore are nearby, so Evesham works well as a base for exploring the wider region.
