This small hamlet occupies one of the highest points in the Cotswolds, dominated by Broadway Tower, an imposing 18th-century structure built as a functional residence despite its fantastical appearance.

Rising 65 feet above Broadway Hill at 1,024 feet elevation, the pale limestone tower with its hexagonal design, round turrets, and battlements is visible across much of the region and serves as a genuine landmark rather than a mere folly.

Inside, three floors of museum space document the tower's history while the top level rewards climbers with extraordinary views stretching across twelve counties on clear days. The hillside itself is excellent for walking, with footpaths crisscrossing the landscape and dropping down to Broadway village, a settlement of golden stone buildings and welcoming pubs that's just a short walk away.

The tower anchors this part of the Cotswolds, drawing visitors who come to explore on foot and experience why the region has such enduring appeal. Broadway, the nearest town with shops and services, sits directly below, making the hamlet easy to incorporate into a broader exploration of the area. The combination of open views, genuine historical interest, and room to wander makes this a worthwhile stop for anyone spending time in the Cotswolds.
