The Brian Sinfield Gallery is an art gallery on the High Street in Burford, showing original paintings and sculpture.
It was founded in 1972 by the late Brian Sinfield, a well-known art dealer, and after his retirement in 2011 it passed to new owners; it is now run by its former gallery manager, who took over in 2022. The gallery has now been exhibiting for more than fifty years.
Its focus is 21st-century traditional and semi-abstract work, mainly by British artists, alongside a selection of sculpture. The gallery represents established, award-winning artists and also champions emerging talent, and it runs a programme of solo and group exhibitions through the year, so what is on the walls changes regularly. The gallery's website lists the current and forthcoming exhibitions and has digital catalogues for anyone who cannot visit in person.
Visitors are welcome to come in and look around, whether or not they are buying. The gallery stands on the upper part of the High Street, about 70 metres from the Tolsey Museum, and Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens is a short drive south of the town.
