A riding centre on the Stow Road at Bourton-on-the-Water, set up for visitors who have never ridden or have not ridden for years.
Many of its horses and ponies are rescue animals. The shortest option is a brief meet-and-greet for very small children; the river ride, from age four, has a guide walking alongside and is popular with nervous adults too. Longer beginner rides and hacks head out towards Lower and Upper Slaughter, and rides aim to paddle through the river when it is safe to do so.
Age minimums rise with the length of the ride and there is a rider weight limit, so check both when booking. Children can also book pony days and a Saturday club.
