You'll discover how bees and trees work together in nature at this attraction within Westonbirt Arboretum, one of Britain's most impressive collections of trees.

The experience covers bee behaviour, their role as pollinators, how they sustain woodland ecosystems, and the basics of honey production. It's informative without feeling like a classroom lesson.

Westonbirt Arboretum itself was established by Robert Stayner Holford in the early 19th century and is now managed by Forestry England. The grounds are extensive, with walking trails connecting an extraordinary range of trees and shrubs sourced from around the world. Each season offers different things to notice, so whether you visit in spring, summer, autumn, or winter, you'll find something new. You could easily spend several hours simply exploring the plant collections, enjoying the fresh air, and taking in the scale and variety accumulated over two centuries.

What makes this work particularly well is how it combines focused learning about bees with the freedom to explore at your own pace. If you want to stay nearby, Tetbury and Malmesbury are both a short drive away. Both towns offer decent accommodation, restaurants, and other attractions worth visiting, making either a practical base for a day trip to the arboretum.
