The beans are roasted on site in small batches, and if you time things right, you'll experience that distinctive aroma of green beans transforming into ready-to-brew coffee. The roastery genuinely prioritises quality, which comes through clearly in every cup you order.
They serve light food and treats alongside the coffee, so it's easy to spend an hour or two here without feeling rushed. Whether you're walking through the surrounding Oxfordshire countryside or travelling between villages, it makes for a natural stopping point. You can also buy freshly roasted beans to take home, which means you can recreate the experience in your own kitchen afterwards.
Crawley sits conveniently positioned between Witney, the larger market town with proper shops and services, and other Cotswolds destinations like Burford. That central location means it's easy to reach from most parts of the region. What makes this place work is that they take coffee seriously without any sense of fussiness about it — it's genuinely welcoming and straightforward.
