The Blackberries Camping Park is a camping and caravan site just outside Monkton Farleigh in the western Cotswolds, providing a straightforward base for exploring this part of the region.
The site accommodates tents, caravans, and motorhomes, and you'll find yourself surrounded by green fields in a genuinely quiet setting.
What makes this location particularly valuable is its proximity to some genuinely significant places. Bath is just a short drive away, giving you access to the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent, and excellent restaurants whenever you want a day out. Bradford-on-Avon is equally convenient and worth visiting for its historic bridge and independent shops if you prefer something with a smaller-town atmosphere.
The walking straight from the campsite is excellent too. Proper footpaths take you through real English countryside, and the landscape itself reflects the area's past. This region has roots going back to Roman times and prospered enormously during the medieval wool trade, so you'll see that history reflected in the towns and villages scattered around.
It's a sensible setup if you want to balance serious exploring of Bath and Bradford-on-Avon with the chance to retreat to genuine quiet countryside at the end of the day. Monkton Farleigh itself is worth a walk around too if you're after a peaceful village experience without much fuss.
