Sherdons Golf Centre in Stoke Orchard is a straightforward spot if you want to break up your Cotswolds trip with some time on the fairways.
The centre welcomes golfers of all levels, from seasoned players to complete beginners, and has everything you'd need for a proper day out. You can play a full 18-hole course for a complete round, or head to the driving range if you just want to work on your swing without committing to the whole thing. The pro shop is on-site if you need to pick up any equipment or forgotten kit, and there's a bar and restaurant where you can wind down afterwards with a drink and some food.
It's a good alternative if you're looking for something beyond the typical countryside walks that dominate most Cotswolds visits. The location is genuinely convenient too. If you're based around Cheltenham or Tewkesbury, it's only a short drive away, so it doesn't eat into your day with travel time. Even if golf isn't normally your thing, it's approachable enough to give the sport a try in pleasant surroundings. Worth pencilling in if you've got a few hours to spare and fancy trying something different.
