Shamba Barn is a converted barn offering comfortable holiday accommodation right in Cranham, a quiet village in the heart of the Cotswolds.
The building retains the character of its agricultural past while having been thoughtfully updated with modern comforts, giving you a countryside retreat that balances old charm with contemporary living.
The location works well for exploring on foot. You can set out directly into the woodlands and rolling hills surrounding the village, taking advantage of the many walking routes through the area. Cranham itself maintains a genuinely peaceful atmosphere, which is exactly the appeal if you want to experience the slower rhythm of rural life without too much bustle.
When you do fancy getting out for more activity, you're well positioned. Stroud lies a short drive south and is worth a visit for its weekly farmers' market and thriving independent shops and cafes, reflecting the town's strong community character. In the opposite direction, Cheltenham is equally accessible to the north. It's an elegant spa town known for its fine Regency architecture, substantial shopping options, and a year-round calendar of cultural events and festivals.
This setup lets you have the best of both approaches to a Cotswolds stay: mornings might involve quiet walks from your door, while afternoons could take you into either town depending on what appeals. It's a genuinely flexible base for the area.
